Four new Cllrs selected for the Labour Party

Statement by The Labour Party

Following the elections to the Seanad, there were four vacant Labour Councillor seats. Nominations were opened recently to fill these positions, and where a contest was required due to more than one name going forward, selection conventions by remote vote where held today.

The four new Labour Party Councillors are as follows:

After the election of Marie Sherlock to the Seanad, a vacancy arose in the Cabra Glasnevin electoral area of Dublin City Council.
- The new Councillor is Declan Meenagh.

After the election of Rebecca Moynihan to the Seanad, a vacancy arose in the South-West Inner City electoral area of Dublin City Council.
- The new Councillor is Darragh Moriarty.

After the election of Mark Wall to the Seanad, a vacancy arose in the Athy electoral area of Kildare County Council.
- The new Councillor is Mark Leigh.

After the election of Annie Hoey to the Seanad, a vacancy arose in the Laytown-Bettystown electoral area of Meath County Council.
- The new Councillor is Elaine McGinty.
