Condolences on the death of Cara O’Sullivan
Labour Party Arts spokesperson Senator Marie Sherlock expressed her condolence on the death announced yesterday of Irish soprano Cara O’Sullivan.
“Cara O’Sullivan was an incredible talent, someone who made a massive contribution to the world of music both at home in Ireland and on the international stage. I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Cara’s daughter Christine, to her whole family and to her very wide circle of friends, colleagues and fans.
“There are very few people who could light up a room in the way Cara O’Sullivan did. I had the privilege of meeting Cara some years ago when she performed alongside the Culwick Choral Society. Her encouraging nature and warmth was legendary”
“Cara will be sorely missed in the world of music – may she rest in peace.”
