You may have seen the Blogging for Labour button on the homepage where we have linked to all the party representatives who are using blogs, or weblogs, to interact with their constituents and beyond.

We thought it might be an idea every now and again to update you on what our Labour blogger are saying.

This week Councillor Michael O'Brien, candidate for Kilkenny/Carlow, raises the issue of the collapse of ADHD and autism services in Kilkenny; Councillor Keith Martin in Westport blogs about the Sunday Business Post's poll results while Councillor Seamus Ryan in Waterford talks about the longest election campaign ever.

Councillor Eric Byrne, candidate for Dublin South Central, talks about a regeneration project in Bridgefoot Street, Dublin which will convert a former debtor's prison into a public park. History buffs might enjoy the historical information he also provides about the site.

Elsewhere in Dublin Deputy Joe Costello, sitting TD and candidate in Dublin Central, informs his readers of a planning proposal in his constituency while Harry Barrett, candidate for Mayo, talks about the effects of post office closures on communities.

Councillor Dominic Hannigan, candidate for Meath East, in words and videos, talks about the forthcoming public consultation on the future of Bettystown Beach. Dominic is also the only politician to make it to the shortlist of the annual Irish Blog Awards in the Political blog category, well done Dominic. The winners will be announced this weekend.
