Getting Back 2 Work

Job creation strategy continues to be a priority for the Government and one of the measures contained in Budget 2015, the Back to Work Family Dividend, is being introduced to help support unemployed jobseekers with children who want to return to work.

The Back to Work Family Dividend allows the person taking up a job to retain the child-related portion of their social welfare payment on a tapered basis over two years. This includes those who move to self-employment, such as back into the construction sector, and those on the One Parent Family Payment.

The scheme will be live in April 2015 and applications will open in January 2015. Any applications received from qualificatons between January and April 2015 will include an element of arrears.
