The Labour Party under the Leadership of Joan Burton, T.D., are now seeking to recruit a new Women & Equality Officer and Social Media Officer, with immediate effect. We are seeking dynamic, professional, committed, energetic and creative people to join our team, based at Labour Party Headquarters.

Women & Equality Officer:

The Women & Equality Officer will work with and provide administrative support for the National Executive of Labour Women, Labour Equality, including Labour LGBT, Labour Disability and Labour Intercultural.   The Women & Equality Officer will be an integral part of the general election team, with particular emphasis on implementing Labour’s Gender Strategies, and will work with and support women candidates and candidates from minority groups seeking election on behalf of the Party.

Social Media Officer:

The Social Media Officer will form part of the Party’s wider communications team, with a particular emphasis on the implementation of the Labour Party’s social media strategy up to and including the general election.   The Social Media Officer will collaborate with the Party’s Press and Research teams, and will play an important role in in the Media, Research and Rebuttal Unit, working at the cutting edge of the general election campaign.

Knowledge of and commitment to the ideals and objectives of the Labour Party is essential in any successful applicant.

The successful candidates must be prepared to work unsocial hours, with a small but enthusiastic team, and generally be willing to accept the pressures of serving a vigorous political party.
