We're delighted that Rebecca Moynihan has been selected to run for us in Dublin South-Central, in the next General Election.

Rebecca is currently a councillor for Crumlin-Kimmage. Her priorities include:

  • Providing more green and play spaces in the inner city
  • Campaigning against cuts in community services and drugs task forces
  • Making Dublin a Green city though more green spaces, allotments, and better recycling facilities
  • Tacking the scourge of anti social behaviour and crime in our neighbourhoods
  • Ensuring we have planning which is led by the needs of the community and not in the interests of developers
  • Stimulating the Dublin 8 economy and supporting small businesses in the community
  • Supporting improvements in cycling facilities and public transport

Speaking at her selection convention Rebecca said "

From a Dublin and South Central perspective we have a a housing crisis, not just a social housing crisis but a affordable housing. My generation are living in insecure rental accommodation well into their 40’s, unable to afford to buy where they have grown up. We have a transport and infrastructural crisis, with little investment in long term infrastructure from the bailout years catching up, leaving us not very well placed to take advantage of the opportunities that Brexit may give up.
