Canvassing in Finglas with Minister Brendan Howlin, Deputy Ciara Conway and Deputy John Lyons

With a week to go canvassing is continuing throughout the country for a YES vote in the forthcoming Stability Treaty. Earlier today our Labour senators teamed up with other members of the Seanad to canvas on Dublin's Grafton Street and last night Minister Brendan Howlin along with Deputy Ciara Conway canvassed in Finglas with Deputy John Lyons.

Significant progress on Promissory notes welcomed

Today's announcement on the renegotiation around the payment on the promissory note has been called 'great news' by Labour's Deputy Ciara Conway.

"The opposition thought we would never be able to do this, but we have proved them wrong once again," Deputy Conway said.

Deputy Ciara Conway on Minister Quinn's Forum on Patronage and Pluralism

Don't let teens fall through cracks - Conway

This week Deputy Ciara Conway has been contributing to the Dáil debate on suicide.


One in four people in Ireland has, at some point, suffered with a mental health issue - a fact highlighted by Waterford's Ciara Conway this week during the debate .

Deputy Conway pointed out that she is well aware of the challenge of tackling mental health issues in this country. Before becoming a TD she worked as a Social Worker with the H.S.E and saw first-hand the problems people are facing.

The Deputy referred to a report by Sally E. Bonnar on the' Admission of Young People to Adult Mental Health Wards '.
