Deputy Stagg on this term's Legislative Programme

The Government has today announced the Legislative Programme for the Autumn 2012 parliamentary session which focuses on finance, jobs and reform. Speaking about the forthcoming Dáil term the Labour Chief Whip, Deputy Emmet Stagg, said: "Job creation and economic recovery are at the very heart of the Government's priorities and this autumn, legislation will be published in this area including the Credit Reporting Bill, Credit Union Bill, Consumer and Competition Bill and the Companies Bill.

"It is very encouraging to see so many pieces of legislation in the pipeline and this is a clear indication that the Government is taking seriously our commitement to deliver on measures that will bring about economic recovery, improvement jobs market and drive real reform."
