It was another busy day on Labour's campaign trail, where Labour Leader Deputy Eamon Gilmore TD started off the day in RTÉ Radio Centre to take part in a question-and-answer session on the Today with Pat Kenny Show.

After fielding a range of caller and e-mail queries, the campaign took the trip up to coast to Drogheda. On arrival, Eamon, together with local Louth candidates, Cllr Ged Nash and Labour representative Mary Moran, headed to the town's Youth Information Centre, where the candidates all received a generous welcome from the centre's early school leavers.

Eamon Gilmore kicked off the day with some retail politics as he visited the Moore Street market with Labour's Dublin Central candidates Cllr Aine Clancy and Joe Costello TD, who seems to be on first name basis with every trader on the street. Eamon stocked up on some fresh fruit to keep his team well- fed through a busy day.

The next stop was Margeret Aylward Community College in Dublin North West where the students of the Junior Certificate CSPE quizzed Eamon, and candidates Roisin Shortall TD and Cllr John Lyons about political reform, third level fees and healthcare. The standard of questions was very high, and there's clearly an impressive new generation of journalists on their way.
