Leaders' Questions - March 21st 2012

Leaders' Questions today, taken by the Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore, saw tributes paid to Jim Stynes following his untimely death this week in Australia (you can read more about this sporting great on the Irish Times website). The debate during Leaders' Questions centred around the Household Charge and the Vatican report on Clerical abuse. Leaders' Questions - February 16th 2012

Leaders' Questions today saw debate on the changeover to Greyhound waste services in Dublin where An Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore stuck it to Joe Higgins about his role in the privitisation of waste services in Dublin. Leaders' Questions also focused on the residents of Priory Hall and the appalling actions of the developer. Leaders' Questions - January 26th

Today Leaders' Questions in the Dáil focused on a number of issues including the Personal Insolvency Bill which will provide some comfort for people who have fallen into mortgage arrears and who have been in danger of losing their homes; there was also debate about the Water Services Bill and labour activation. Leaders' Questions - January 19th 2012

This morning the Labour Leader and An Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore took Leaders' Questions in the Dáil. First, the Tanaiste spoke about the headway being made by the Govt in addressing the difficulties that many people face in paying their mortgages.

He went on to outline the progress being made by the Govt in terms of economic recovery, calling on opposition parties to acknowledge that progress and to put forward realistic and workable solutions to our economic difficulties.

The Tánaiste also assured the Dail that the Govt would resist any pressure to change our corporate tax rate and explained why a financial transaction tax could pose difficulties for Ireland.
