With the focus of the campaign switching to literacy and education Labour Leader Eamon Gilmore went to Dunboyne this morning. Together with Meath East candidate Senator Dominic Hannigan he faced the Student Council of St Peter's College to answer their questions. The teenagers were interested in jobs, the Irish language, and the availability and funding of post secondary education. One keen student seemed to have his mind made up about a future career, and asked Eamon for advice on how to become a TD.

The next stop was the Kids' Corner in Eason bookshop in Navan, where Eamon read the story of the Gruffalo to the children of the local Educate Together School. The enthusiastic audience agreed with Eamon's suggestion that the Gruffalo was a member of Fianna Fáil.
