My name is Seána Ó Rodaigh and I am the local area representative for the Labour Party in Skerries and Balbriggan. I began working in Skerries in 2003 and moved there shortly after.
My main interest is promoting community mental health and wellbeing. I am chairperson of Skerries Mental Fitness community organisation which I founded in 2017. Throughout the month of May in 2017 and 2018, I co-ordinated over 50 events led by local volunteers with activities ranging from morning yoga on the beach to a pop-up choir.
As a committee member of Skerries Youth Support Services (SYSS) and Skerries Harps Health and Wellbeing, I witness the power and positivity that is harnessed when people come together for the benefit of all. I have also worked with the Health and Wellbeing team in O’Dwyer’s GAA.
Having taught in St. Patrick’s Senior National School in Skerries since 2003, I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of young people. I hope to be a public representative who listens to all sectors of our community. I will work towards the long-term best interests of all residents.
I have been knocking on door over the past couple of months introducing myself to people and listening to their concerns about the future of our towns. Fingal is a beautiful place to live but it is the people who make it. I am excited about how I can help you shape the future of our towns.
If you wish to contact me about anything of concern, please do not hesitate to do so. If you would like to join my campaign team, I would be even happier to hear from you!
