Cllr William Paton PC

I was first elected to Carlow County Council in June 1999 and re-elected by the voters of the Tullow Electoral Area in 2004 and 2009 and again by the voters of the Carlow Municipal Area in May 2014.

I work in my family company Henry Paton + Co. Limited which supplies the funeral and monumental trades.

I was awarded a 1st Class Honours Master of Arts Degree in Public Management in 2003 by the Institute of Public Administration and a 1st Class Honours Master of Business Administration in October 2014. I am currently undertaking a Doctorate of Governance.  

I am actively involved in my local community in the following roles:
- Chairman of the D.T.A. Tullow Tidy Towns Committee - Chairman of the County Carloe Community First Responder Co-ordination Committee - Director of Tullowphelim Historical Society Limited - Hon. Secretary of The Captain Murphy Memorial Hall Committee.
