Labour Women Candidates

As it stands today, Friday 29 November, eighty-eight Labour Party candidates have been selected to run in the Local Elections in May 2014. Currently twenty eight of these candidates are women which just one third (31.8%). Five of the twenty eight, (18%) candidates are first time candidates. There are a good few selection conventions coming up in the next few weeks so keep an eye out for further additions to the Labour ticket.
Labour Women will be rolling out a range of supports for all our local election candidates including mentoring, training, (wo)man power for help with canvassing and drops and financial support in early 2014.
